I remember there being talk of a Bat Boy film, does anyone know if that is still in the works? What's going on with the stage production as well? I heard that was kicking off again.

Sites just like this one and Facebook. I heard there was a workshop going on for a stage production. And I know there are plenty of schools doing it as well. As far as film, I remember the concept being more prevelant a few years back. Also, in regards to Facebook, Broadwayworld has been asking about who would we want to see as Bat Boy if the stage production were to be resurrected.

John Landis was attached to direct a film version around a decade ago but plans fell through. I don't think there's a studio (or anyone for that matter) working on getting a film produced. The show is due for a NY revival though, and maybe that might spur development on a film.

"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott
