For anyone going this weekend. Thoughts. Questions. Reviews. Audiences. Pictures. Videos. Farewells.
So sad the show is closing!!!!!! Its has been quit the ride with In The Heights. Such a great show.
Seen the show twice, both last year in New York and San Francisco, a immensely enjoyable show, with some great music, just hope it finally makes it over to The West End.
I've seen the show multiple times over the last few years. It's always been a favorite.
But, I got to see it this past Tuesday. Saying it was the best performance of the show I had ever seen is a severe understatement. Wow.
Anyone going this weekend is in for a treat.
I was there on Tuesday too. OMG the energy in the room was something I have never experienced before! It was just plain amazing! Everyone on stage was on fire and the audience was just so into it. It was definitely the most amazing thing I've ever seen on stage! I can't believe it is coming to an end. So sad!! But I can't wait to see the last show. I bet it'll be even better!! Although very emotional as well! (will have to bring tissues)
Went to try and do the lottery tonight. There were TONS of people so I went home a loser BOO!
I wish we had one more week!! Just one more!!!
i agree with JP2. i have seen the show quite a few times over the past 2 years and really love it. i won lotto on monday and the cast was completely giving it their all. lin got a huge entrance applause as did some other original cast members. seeing it for the last time was a little sad but it was a wonderful performance.

klacombe@uoguelph.ca: Even though you didn't win, do you know if they were selling lotto loser seats or SRO?
They had SRO (no loser tickets) but I was under the impression that they only sold them if the show was sold out. Which by lotto time they still had regularly priced tickets for the show. But when I asked about them they said they already sold the SRO and they were all gone. And a women trying the lotto said she got her's at 5 PM. Which sucks cause I was in the area earlier than that but when I found out they weren't sold out I just assumed they weren't doing SRO...so I missed my chance. BOO!!
Hope you have better luck than me!
Anyone see the show this afternoon?? How was it??
I just got back from today's matinee performance. The energy in the theatre was electric. The cast was amazing! I had to hold back my tears a few times. Ive seen the show 9 times, and I live in Los Angeles. There were a lot of in the heights fans where I was sitting. We were all having a good time. Thank you to the In The Heights Cast and crew, and major props to Olga Merediz, Chris Jackson, and Lin Manuel. This is a night I will remember always. So sad to see it end.

Does anyone else think that moving to Off-Broadway is still in the works? BWW hasn't posted a "saying goodbye to..." video about the show, but has for A Little Night Music. I don't know... just a thought.
I would LOVE if it was able to move back off-Broadway. I'd definitely make sure to see it wherever it was when I was back in the city.
How was the show tonight?? Was it crazy energetic in the Richard Rodgers?? Were the actors emotional??
This show is so great. I will never forget what it did for my life. This video breaks my heart.
Just posted tonight:

Did anyone get standing room today? If I'm there by the time the box office opens tomorrow will I be able to get it for the evening show?
Wow. Thank you for posting that video. It seems like as soon as I 'get a grip' and don't feel quite so sad over it's closing, something comes up and I'm right back to square one. Aside from n2n, this is the first show that I'm actually feeling a real sense of loss for.

I called the box office tonight and was told that standing room goes on sale an hour and a half before the show. Hope that helps. Still debating on whether or not getting there early to line up for when they go on sale.
I have one extra ticket for tomorrow night's final performance, in the rear mezzanine. Are we allowed to post notices for available tickets on BWW?

Also does anyone think there would be a chance of an off-broadway fun after this?
