Mine was Annie, too. I was in fourth grade, and it was our school musical (performed by the entire fifth grade). After that, I went around the house singing "Tomorrow" and "The Hard-Knock Life." After that, I saw a few movie-musicals, and it's been downhill, ever since.

Les Miserables. I was three years old when I discovered it. They were doing a PBS special and I was so struck by the fact that a little girl (young cosette) could be up on stage singing. For the next four years, Castle on a cloud was my Anthem. I finally saw it on Broadway when I was about six. Even then, It was incredible.
Either Oliver or Here's Love - one of these was the first show I ever saw
Les Miserables
I was 24, just came to U.S, heard nothing about musical except cats. Then that show totally changed my life.
I suppose if you count telivision, I rented the Mary Martin Peter Pan by mistake when I was six and I fell in love with it. so technically that was the first musical to ever impact me, but at that age I didn't know the difference between a filmed stage show and a movie. CATS which I saw live when I was ten was the show that really introduced me to Broadway...

The first professional stage production I saw was in 1988 at age 13-- the touring company of "Cats". Donna Lee Marshall played Grizabella and I still remember her voice raising the rafters.
Mine was Phantom of the Opera. I wanted to see this show when I was little, and when my mom finally took me to see the national tour of it in Hartford when I was 15...I just sat there in awe...from the minute the overture began I was hooked...and it's what made me want to become an actor.
The revival of "Cabaret." I sat in my seat in tears for ten minutes after the show unable to move.
Grease, i danced on the stage during intermission and won the little contest.

The first nat. tour of "Beauty and the Beast". I grew up with the movie, it was and still is my fav. Disney movie, and got to see it live. It REALLY got me into it all. That and "Cinderella" It was my first production at my local theatre, it had a big impact on me also.
I'm really enjoying hearing the storys!
Peter Pan, I would sing along to it everyday after preschool.

Into the Woods, 7th grade. My best friend's older sister's best friend was playing Little Red in their high school production, so we all went to see it. It was such an amazing show (and still is). For weeks after, it was all my friends and I watched and listened to.

I saw the revival of Company when I was 12. It was the first show I had seen by Stephen Sondheim. Based on that, I went out and bought the cast album to every show he has written. He is, without a doubt, my favorite composer, and I have seen every Broadway revival of his since Company.

I remember as a little girl watching 'Singin in the Rain' at least once a week, so as a movie, that had the most impact.
On stage though, it would be 'Phantom of the Opera'. I saw the National Tour in 1997 when it came to Seattle. I remember so little now besides the lake scene, but for months after in art class i would draw pictures of the Phantom leading Christine to his boat on the lake.
I am such a dork. And i love it.
TV - Peter Pan
