Posted: 11/9/04 at 9:18pmI agree Mr. TN. A lot of the "greatest voice in the world" has come from Susan Kay's novel and other people's opinions. In Claude Rain's movie version, he never sang but he played the violin (very well I might ad).

"She lives in the Opera House?"
Jus, chorus girls used to live in the apartments above the opera. (I believe the apartments can still be rented by cast members at the Bordeaux Opera House) Not so sure about the "stars" and the crew, though. I think the stars could, but tended to rent bigger & better places elsewhere.
