re: First time in NYC - need some advice

Chorus Line is a revival of a classic. If you haven't seen it, you should. "What I Did for Love" is a GREAT song!

"Curtains" is the latest and last Kander and Ebb musical. They're teh people who wrote "Cabaret", "Chicago", and many other shows. Ever seen the movie "New York, New York" with Liza? That's Kander and Ebb.

I have heard that "The Drowsy Chaperone" is fun.

Perhaps take your list and go to TKTS (temporarily on the 46th St. side of the Marriott Marquis) and see what is available on the window. it's day of performance only, half price (generally) orchestra level seats. Your list is long enough that one or two should be on the window.

While you're in the theatre district, have at least one meal at Sardi's (44th St. between Broadway and 8th Ave.) TRY THE CANNELLONI! It's one of the great things around and Sardi's is such a theatre place. You'll love it!

In Sau Paulo or Rio, where is the best place to get hold of any of the Original Brazillian Cast CDs. Where abouts is the shop/shops or is there an internet site to buy them. Im a collector and the only one i have is 'Side By Side By Sondheim'

A young actress with Noel coward after a dreadful opening night performance said to him 'Well, i knew my lines backwards this morning!'' Noels fast reply was ''Yes dear, and thats exactly how you said them tonight'!'

If you're a Les Miz fan, I'd recommend seeing that if only for the sole purpose of seeing Lea Salonga. I loved Drowsy. It's refreshingly light and fun.
