A really great op-ed piece from Time Out NY: Nine Wishes For New York Theater. I love them all, but am particularly "right-on" with #4, #6, and #9.

Which ones do you like? What would you add?

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

I would wish for a link.

Good heavens, madbrian! You're so demanding!
And here's the link

I think some of these are stupid ideas that will kill theater.

#2 - We don't need more unionization, we need less. Union costs are what drives ticket prices up.

#3 - What an ageist idiot. Why not suggest Arthur Laurents retire?

#7 - Who is going to pay for these new buildings?

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

There?s nothing more depressing than hearing the pastiche-based, watered-down pop of new musical scores. Sometimes they?re successful (Next to Normal). Mostly they?re synthetic trash (Legally Blonde).

The guys who just retired RE: #3.

Or...Dr. Pepper.
I would love to go see the revival of Grey Gardens at The Pepsi-Hostess Theatre.
