Flashdance - West End Autumn 2010

Flashdace will open up in London October 2010 at The Piccadilly. Grease will shutter at The Piccadilly Beginning of September 2010.

Expect some cheesy star stunt casting and whole lotta leg warmers!

What a feeling!

Don't know whether to be happy about this or not-on one hand it's about time Grease closed (or at least went on tour) and something else went in there, on the other it's Flashdance, which didn't exactly set me alight on tour.

So we await cheesy casting! It was Noel Sullivan from Hear'say when I saw it, next October is good timing for this year's X factor rejects-I mean runners up-to be looking for work!

A bit of a mixed message there SoonerorLater.

Some very good news and some bad news, regulars on here will no what I was talking about!

And rejects from "OZ" ... I'm a Celeb ... Britains Got Talent... Imagine a feast of all I think!

God this was pretty dull on tour. I actually think id rather see Grease, at least it has good songs.

Only good things were the surprise of Noel Sullivan and Bruno Langley being actually really rather good!

Could not disagree more

I thought Flashdance was very good and belive me i had the knives out for it. The story was better than the film (though thats not hard) the new songs minus a couple were very good and the choreography was brilliant (except the finale)

I enjoyed Flashdance on tour, will see it again in the West End (if the price is right, I only paid £13 on tour as part of a group booking)

Phantom-sorry if I'm not clear or somehow offending.

I make no secret of the fact I can't stand Grease but really was in the middle on Flashdance-it was quite good, wouldn't rush to see it again or pay London prices to be honest.

And the orginal poster first mentioned cheesy stunt casting I was just speculating-and joking (sort of!)

I wouldn't worry too much about this one.
It will probably get by with 5 or 6 months, at the most, in the West End.
'Grease' is a time and again proven hit but 'Flashdance', in a huge theatre like the Piccadilly, mmm no where near.
