If anyone is going to do the first hour of autograph hour and would be getting only one or no autographs from Sutton and Joel and wouldn't mind getting my poster signed for me since they don't stage door, PM me. Id really appreciate it. =]
It looks like they're still using the Junior's porch for the autographs/photos.

Does anyone know what the general policies for the Sunday matinees are? Assuming the performers aren't at the autograph table during that time, do most of the principal cast members still show up?
Generally, any performer who has a show that day are put in the early time slots to accommodate for them needing to be at the theater for a 2 or 3pm show. The only reason someone would not show up to their job would be if they were scheduled to be out or had a last minute emergency.

I think it's generally volunteers who work the tables, although it's definitely not uncommon to see cast members working as well. I remember in 2008 the [title of show] cast spent a lot of time at their table, and Kyle Dean Massey was at the next to normal table for a good bit of time last year. I frequently see ensemble members of big musicals working tables, too.
^ i'm also curious about this. i want pictures with jonathan groff and sutton foster who are both going to be swarmed im sure. how does it all usually work, since ive heard ppl were in line for almost the whole hour for some ppl?
The lines for the autograph table and the photo booth are completely separate. If you want a picture with someone who is going to be super popular (like I would expect both Foster and Groff to be), then I'd anticipate waiting for a while.
Also, I only want to meet Carrie Preston and I plan on doing the photo booth. I know you get a signed frame, but if I would pay a little extra would they let me get something else signed?
No idea about the first one. I guess it depends on what the group wants to do.
I think they gave out bags last year, but I would bring one anyway, just incase.
I think you can pay by cash or credit card. Though I have heard the credit card transactions are a pain if you use it for everything. I don't know about checks, but I don't see why they wouldn't.

No idea about checks. Credit cards are accepted, though. If you want to purchase something with a credit card, the people at the table will hand you a receipt. You take that receipt to one of the few "bank" tables scattered throughout. They swipe your card for the amount on the receipt, you sign the slip, then they give you a new receipt, which you take back to the table and swap the receipt for the item.
It's annoying and complicated, especially when it's really crowded, which is why cash is preferred. But the upside to using credit cards is that you have a receipt you can use to claim the deduction on your taxes, if you care about that sort of thing.

There will be a very nice BC/EFA volunteer by the celeb photo booth asking people for requests as to who they want photos with that hour. The ones with the most requests will be plucked off the autograph line and put into the photo booth. They do TRY to get to everyone requested per hour but sometimes it's too difficult. Fear not if you are waiting for someone super popular like Foster, Groff, etc. They are pretty much guaranteed to have plenty of requests. If you are on the autograph line and waiting for someone's signature who has been pulled aside to the photo booth, they also let you wait to the side until they come back so you can get their autograph. Also, if you are in line for the autographs and you hear them call someone in the photo booth, you can flag over a volunteer and they will hold your place in the line while you get your photo. It's a pretty well-oiled machine at this point. In the past, there have been celebs who show up only to do the photo booth for a set price - e.g. Sean Hayes last year and John Stamos the year before. There have also been groups of celebs together that pose for a raised price - e.g. the fab for from "[title of show]" a couple of years ago. Just browsing over the list of this year's people, the possible combos I see are Sutton Foster/Joel Grey, Sutton Foster/Bobby Cannavale and Marin Mazzie/Jason Danieley. Just something to be aware of. If you request a pairing, you might also be asked to set the price. I remember someone several years ago offering I think $75 for a photo with Anthony Rapp, Adam Pascal and Jesse L. Martin together and that became quite a popular photo session.
Whether someone will sign something at the photo booth seems to differ from year to year and person to person. I personally believe it's nice to give a little extra donation to a great cause if they are providing you with an autograph. You will also see celebs walking around during the day or helping to work the booths and I believe it is nice to make a donation if you get a photo with any of them as well.
You can use a credit card. Your items will be put on hold at the booth and you go to one of the "banks" where they will take your payment info and give you a receipt so you can pick up the items you purchased. The advantage is you can get a charitable tax write-off. The disadvantage is the time it takes. I personally recommend that people take cash in all different denominations as it makes it easier on everyone.
When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain.
