So I've been doing a lot of closet cleaning and I just wanted to let you guys know I put a couple of fun theatre memoribilia type things on my Ebay account (in addition to some old clothes) and if anyone is interested I totally encourage you to buy them because they're super cool, in great condition, and you'd be helping the wonderful charity of "I like to be able to afford groceries"
.
I'll be putting up some more stuff within the next few days, more windowcards, some rehearsal scripts (Footloose, Trailer Park, Cry-Baby, among others) and some signed sheet music. :)
If you guys have any stuff you've got available somewhere, post it here so everybody can check it out!

OR so that you feel your solicitation is welcome and justified?
I have a cassette tape of Janet Jackson's first album I don't need anymore.
All you need now is a player.

You should have flipped that Rent prop kit a long time ago - it looks very unique and you probably would have gotten more money.
It was always so weird to see the lucky fangirl (who'd never been to the East Village in her life) get Mimi's "stash" and show it off - I remember the days downtown when a stash like that would get you killed or busted! Oh, the magic of theater.

Rainbow, you're telling me. Wish I'd taken the time to go through my boxes of crap when some of these shows were still open. Oh well, c'est la vie.
I personally support any fangirls under the age of 18 buying Mimi's "stash" from me and showing it off at JFK or Penn Station during rush hour.

Sort of off-topic but I've got a fangirl and Mimi's stash story I'm sure some of you will appreciate.
Back in the day (2000), when Rent was playing at the Shubert in Los Angeles with Daphne Rubin Vega reprising her role, there were many insane fans trying to get rush seats. I was one of them, of course, and slept with a friend on the pavement overnight. That was fun.
Anyhoo, we got 'em alright, and it was worth the sleepless night on the cement because Daphne was electrifying as Mimi. Just incredible.
When Mimi flings her stash, the fangirls were ready to CATCH, but they did not get it because it landed on my lap. I casually got it and slipped it into my pocket as the fangirls eyed me with GREAT HATRED.
I guess they realized hate wasn't effective, so one of them accosted me and my friend after the show with sad puppy dog eyes and kept on about how she'd be honored to have Mimi's stash. It got creepy when she started crying. I almost just wanted to give it to her but my friend was not as nice and actually rubbed it in her face by showing it off. She finally gave up when we started to ignore her.
At any rate, Rentheads, some crazy sh*t.
You should have given it to her, found the nearest police officer, and told them she had drugs. That'll learn her!
I have a Wicked Playbill signed by the current Boq, Wizard, and Madame Morrible.
LOL. She'd be "honored"? If people are really that desperate for one, they do realize that 80$ at any gay bar in Chelsea will get them the real thing?

When I lived in the East Village in 1989 some real Mimi actually rapped on my window one time asking for a light, thinking I'd let her junky a** in. I chased the b**** to the next block!
That fool would be "honored" for you to give her something you caught...man, I'm glad your friend was there to show her what's what!
