Has anyone asked the Merchandise stand etc.. when they will be getting these in?
I'm surprised that these haven't turned up (on playbillstore, at least--I assume if they were at the theatre there would have been a post about it somewhere). Because the show is doing somewhat well financially I assume that they will turn up eventually? (Cf. The Scottsboro Boys).
When I saw it last Saturday evening I asked at the merch stand and the kid working said that they would not be arriving at the theatre until at least the 27th and they will also be online, but they are in the process of being printed and shipped! I'm sure it'll look great.

Sigh.... I'm just gonna go pull out my original 1971 FOLLIES souvenir program -- flood-stained though it may be, and smile.

Can't wait to get mine on Sunday. How are those cups that I see they have at the concession stand at the theatre? I rarely if ever buy anything at theatre concession stands, but would buy one of those cups if it was reusable. Is it reusable or is it basically just a cheap plastic cup with a Follies logo?
Fraulein- you have it right on all accounts: it is a cheap plastic cup that is also reusable.
I want that pillow but can't justify spending the money for it. I am hoping it pops up at the flea market next year.
uncageg - I've heard it is kind of popular, so perhaps but it might sell out close to the end of the run.
Did you know you can follow it on twitter? :P

Fraulein - just do what I did. As you are exiting the theater, look around. Several people leave their Follies glass behind. Then just go home and wash it REALLY well. LOL
It's an interesting item but not worth buying the $15 drink you have to get to get the glass - at least to me and my very limited budget. Do need to get that program though. I have been waiting for it to be available. Yeah!
Show-fan, I just looked. It's like that paper cut-out that your child makes at school that you have to take everywhere and keep a log. I forget the name.
Fraulein & moljul ... that is EXACTLY what I do! It's slightly embarrassing and weird. But it's free.
best tip EVER. Totally doing that this Sunday! thanks!
Yeah, I was too embarrassed to do it the first time I went but on the second viewing when I once again saw several left behind I thougth, What the Hell!
If you get a soda (or non-alcoholic drink) it's $5 and you get to keep the cup.

Thank GOD I'm not alone on that one... I always feel so weird and cheap doing it, but I love my cups, and if someone clearly doesn't want theirs, I'll gladly take it!
Really?? I asked if that was possible and was told no but that was during previews so maybe things have changed.

I'm pretty sure it only cost $5 for Coke at the first preview...but the "stealing the cup" stories are hilarious. I will do that in future so I can get more than one!
Well maybe I misunderstood or just got a really dense bartender.
well I saw it twice in NY, both after opening night --- the first time they had Coke products and it was $5 for the cup filled with beverage. The 2nd time (about 2 or 3 weeks later) they had switched to Pepsi products but it was still $5.
I'm picturing like 5 of us all clamoring over the same used cup..."it's mine" "no it's MINE" "I saw it first!" "you already have 7 of them" "I know but I need a full set for dinner parties!!!!"
I bought a "Follies" cup and left it at "The View" (the bar at the top of the hotel). I didn't even think to get the cups on the floor. I was to busy gathering all the playbills people left behind. I am so bummed I left my cup at the bar. It was a nice souvenir.
Did you see they were selling signed "Follies" cups at the Flea market?
Sing, when I was there I noticed that they had extra playbills fanned out on a counter for you to take after the show.

I'm so glad I found this thread. Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but when I saw this amazing production years ago I could have sworn there was a souvenir program with full color photos, etc, but I've since been unable to see evidence of its existence online anywhere.
I'd love to have one of these...do they ever pop up? Does anyone have any photos? One for sale?
I didn't expect the show to close as quickly as it did (thanks Evita...ugh) and it really was deserving of more love overall. Incredible cast. A treasured memory.
