So seems the WTF production of Sam Shepard's "Fool For Love" already has Broadway plans in the cards, its definitely playing a 16 week engagement with the first preview scheduled for mid-late September and tentatively looking at taking the Golden.
Okay. Now, THAT is exciting.
Not crazy about Chris Pine, but it's amazing to me that this play hasn't been revived in NY since it's original production.
I've been wanting a revival of this play for a long time, and was planning to go up to Williamstown to see it--but if it's coming to New York, that's even better. (Roundabout announced a revival years ago, to be directed by Ed Harris, but it never ended up happening.)
I really don't know anything about Chris Pine, but he's done a fair amount of theatre in LA.
Lauren Ambrose is attached to a television pilot that would render her unavailable beyond the Williamstown run if it ends up going to series, so it's interesting to me that this production is already being rumored for a transfer.

This is 100% untrue and how irresponsible rumors get started. The Golden is already taken with the Glenn Close revival of A Delicate Balance, Lauren Ambrose did a pilot which would affect her availability, and the rights to a New York production are held by another producer.
Nice wishful thinking though.
Too bad. I'd much rather see this than A DELICATE BALANCE.
Are there RESPONSIBLE rumors?
But I would like to see this happen.
PlayItAgain has a tendency to announce plans that are untrue. I'm still waiting for that MODEL APARTMENT transfer that was "announced"...
