This is great news about Footlight. If it's only online, I'll be happy. If this means they will be back at E 12th St, I will be thrilled. Footlight was my very favorite music shop. I loved to go in there and just leisurely browse through all of the lps and then look through the books for cds. They had an incredible selection. Their collection of foreign casts of Broadway musicals was fantastic. I have missed that store terribly. Also, all of the guys who worked there were all very, very nice.

Bad service, snobby employees and a far too high markup has always made my experiences at Footlight Records regrettable.

I always had wonderful experiences at Footlight. I can't stay enough good things about all of the guys who worked there!! All of them were gentlemen, and they always went out of their way to help me. I miss that store soooo much! It was my very favorite music store.

As far as Colony goes, they are not as good as Footlight and never will be. Still, the store is good, but they are overpriced. And they are very overpriced on the memorabilia items that are in their display cases.

Colony must be the biggest rip off in town!
So now Footlights is staying around lets all not just jump and shout about it - get on line and order your wants from them. Thats the only way that they'll have a chance of a second life. Im so happy bout this. My order is in my hand and worth $220 already.
Down with Colony!
