Has anyone heard anymore about an extension to Footlooses current run, or the change of theatre we were discussing last month.

re: Footloose

Footloose is booking until November 11th but havent heard any more. It still says that the new venue is yet to be confirmed - i wish they'd get a move on!

re: Footloose

We are booking till nov 11th at the novello but are still despratley hoping to get a new home soon but time is running out.Its so sad because the show has been beating some HUGE shows in ticket sales and the audiences are loving it.People keep saying to us that the novello is the perfect home for us AND THERE RIGHT.Footloose is a big little show and the novello is a big little theatre(1100 capacity)and is perfect for us and so is the stage size.
We have been told that when the next show is done the novello would love to have us back which is great.
We were told if we cant be re housed soon we will national tour again untill the novello is free again(even some critics have said they want us to stay in the novello yeeeeeeeah)but fingers crossed we will find a new theatre soon(pray daddy cool closes quick hehe)

re: Footloose

Oh right seeing it this week, just wondered if he was still in it. when will there be London cast recording of footloose? As I can only find the one from the Broadway show or the film??

re: Footloose

Thanks for that WE1.

Best of luck with what ever happens to the production. You're right, it has done very well indeed and could well run for longer.

Shaftesbury should be free from half way through the press night onwards. Or is the Gielgud free - though this is, I think, a much smaller venue.

Good luck to all and to all a good night!

Don't worry- somehow I don't think Daddy Cool will be doing too well somehow...

re: Footloose

Daddy cool looks so bad! I cant wait for it to leave London, its looks as if it is gonna let it down.
#11

re: Footloose

Daddy Cool will probably melt - sorry, but i hope it does, its been a sham from start to finish, Footloose is much more polished show that has beeter capabilities to fill the theatre for once.

Im not sure Footloose could get back to The Novello after the RSC season as Cam Mac is eyeing it for Jersey Boys, a show he is involved for London.

re: Footloose

West end artist, ren suppose to trip on his skates when working in the burger dinner? as he did and was wondering if suppose to happen or not!
#13

re: Footloose

hey there

was just checking this site before i left for theatre and saw this post and had to reply

When ren skates in and looks like he trips and looks down on the floor as if to say he tripped on something it has been choregraphed like that.
It was so funny when we started doing the show because the audience laughed loads ane we thought great it gets a good laugh.
It was only when we got about 4 weeks in to the tour we realised that people were laughing because they thought he had really almost tripped hehe

Rest assured though it is suppose to be in(though derek has ended up on his arse many times in them damn skates hehehe)

Im so glad you asked that question

re: Footloose

Hi West End Artist 1,

I'm curious I read your profile and the theatre credits you list on here and then compared it to the programme biograhies to see who you were. Strangely, what you list on this site bears no resemblance to the programme biogs.

Also I spoke with Derek and he said that he had never fallen on his arse as you state.

Come clean, who are you really?!!

re: Footloose

Derek has fallen tons of times on the tour and a few times in the west end so i dont think you have spoke to him at all.

Some of my theatre credits(as with many actors)arent in the programme due to them been small shows so only big shows ive done are in the programme.I also knew it would be pretty easy to figure out who i am if i list my credits as they are in the programme(i aint stupid)

There is 1 person on here who knows who i am and thats ns and thats the way it will stay.

I also dont have to explain myself to someone who seems to be here to cause arguments.

end off

re: Footloose

Thank god WEA1 said something! I can confirm that WEA1 is who he says he is. Its all legit. And like he says he would have to be pretty thick to have his bio on here so it matched the programme.

re: Footloose

I'm not saying I don't believe you're in Footloose cos I do, but I don't think its wise tell people this on messageboards like this. There will always be people who will doubt you, and saying stuff like "you're lying!" and "prove it!". be wary.
Good luck with the rest of the run!
