Posted: 12/5/04 at 5:45pmJust like as long as you're mine, I too have a sick obsession with Wicked. The story, the theme, the music, the scenery and everything about it, is "WONDERFUL". "THANK GOODNESS" for it. This message board is for people who believe the way I do, and would like to discuss it, so if you're going to abuse it, please go terrorize another board. I'm seeing Wicked for my 4th time in January before Idina leaves. Idina Menzel, is my idol. Her voice, her beauty, her kindness and oh how I can go on and on. Talk to me =)

Honestly, I'm not going to say nasty things about Wicked, but this board is NOT, in fact, "for people who believe the way I do, and would like to discuss it" about Wicked.
It's for fans of Broadway in general.....hence the name "broadwayworld.com" not "wickedworld.com"
I actually am fond of Wicked--I've seen it three times--but I'm not a disciple and I can recognize the flaws in the show....and I also 0 understand the frustration that MANY on this board have felt for a while now (since you've only just joined, you might have been unaware?!)

There is nothing wrong with being obsessed by Wicked. THe show has its good points, it also has its faults.
What some of the posters here, myself included, don't like, is the fact that some people only post about Wicked, and do so in a most unintelligent manner.
If anyone wants to start threads examining the thematic ideas presented by the show, or how the use of metaphor and figurative language leaves the audience with a particular message, I am sure that people are more likely to listen!
I don't see that happening anytime soon though. We will be stuck with the "Who is going to replace Indida?" and "Hugh Jackman as Elphaba!" threads...

What I have a problem with is creating a new thread for a post that could have easily been put into another thread.
And I have no problem with fansof WICKED, as long as they post intelligently, and don't resort to childish, personal attacks a la AsLongAsYoureMine.
