I was wondering if anyone at one point saw Jekyll and Hyde?
I'm wondering because I'm listening to the recording and simply put, it's beautiful.
Are the liscences (sp?) out yet? Would it work at NSMT (North Shore Music Theatre, I think some people know about it here)?
Edit: Aha, totally forgot the point of my post, if you saw it, what did you think?

I have seen Jekyll and Hyde. Hasselhof was bad but don't judge the show in that. Lisences are available from MTI. It is one of my favorites!!!!

Posted: 12/10/05 at 9:12pmI saw it twice. The first time I saw it with the OBC and the second time with the cast that is on the DVD. I liked it a lot better the first time I saw it with the exception of Coleen Sexton, who I thought was amazing as Lucy my second time around. The show itself I think has a few good songs, Facade, Murder! Murder!, A New Life, Someone Like You, etc. but in general I don't think of it as one of my favorites of Wildhorns.

That's kind of a strange question to ask, seeing as it's had multiple tours, was on Broadway for a few years and has had regional rights for quite a while.
I've seen two productions -- one, the national tour that was making the rounds at the time the B'way production was still going, and two, the regional premiere production at the Willows Theatre in Concord, Calif.
I sort of enjoyed myself both times...

Posted: 12/11/05 at 6:15amI saw it once with Rob Evans (I think it was his name), Luba Mason & Anastacia Barzee. And I have to say I definitely have seen & heard better shows. Though the leading guy was extremely good, the show just seemed to be lacking something. I felt it was maybe a little too fast-paced, taking a bit more time with the story would have been better. The score has some really beautiful melodies (In His Eyes, This Is The Moment, A New Life). Not the best show in the world, but not a bad one either.

Posted: 12/11/05 at 7:56amJekyll and Hyde is one of my favorite shows! I saw the tour once and I own the dvd. I also have the recording with Anthony Warlow and Linda Eder. There are a lot of differences between the recording and both shows I saw, such as Emma/Lisa, the end, etc., but I like both. I did not like David Hasselhoff's performance on the dvd, but he does get better as the show goes on. Both women have amazing voices and sing beautifully together. The Lucy was very likeable and I liked the Emma's voice better than the one on the recording (I think it's Carolee Carmello?)

Posted: 2/4/06 at 12:33pmNSMT did another version of Jekyll & Hyde back in the late 90's. I would not look for it on NSMT schedule any time soon.

I saw it in NY but am not sure of the cast.
Eh . . .
I got the ticket for free, so I was happy.

I saw it in NY with Rob Evan...truly amazing. I also own the DVD but NEVER watch it b/c I can't stand to listen to Hasselhoff. That man had no business in the role.
But yes, it is a great show. The music is amazing.
