Forbidden Broadway: Should I Go

It would be in Early July.
I would have seen most of this years shows but I have never been to FB before. Do you have to have seen all the shows to understand it?

I am dying to see it, I don't think you have to know the show, as long as you have heard of the show, and have a general gist.

re: Forbidden Broadway: Should I Go

Some shows carry over from shows that have been opened for years. I saw it in 2007 and I hadn't seen any new show at that time.
He's a faker, and you've been taken in by his con. And in doing so, you are enabling him. He is doing more damage to aspergers than papa's words ever could. -Chane/Liverpool on me having asperger syndrome.

When given the choice of "go" or "not go" to Forbidden Broadway, one should always choose "go".

Go! Its a lot of fun. And certainly, the more you do know a particular show the funnier it is.

While you don't have to know all of them, I would think it wouldn't be much fun if you aren't familiar with many.

It's fun, it's silly.

Enjoy.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

It is always fun. I just regret missing some of the earlier ones when it first started.

Totally go. I just saw it with my friend and I got all the jokes and she only got some but she said she still thought it was hilarious.

If you dont know the music, then absolutely go.

When I saw Forbidden Broadway SVU, I had already heard alot of the parodied songs, and it sorta spoiled the jokes for me.

I never went, but it seems like it would be fun!

It's awesome. As always.

In this incarnation, I think it's most important that you've seen/know the plot of Spring Awakening. They do the longest skit about this show, it is phenominally well done, but also includes some of the most intricate references. For most spoofs they make fun of the show in general and perhaps the star actor. For SA they satirize individual plot points (anemia, casting choices, etc.). The 5 minutes was worth the price of admission for me, I could hardly stay in my seat I was laughing to hard. The man next to me, who was enjoying the whole performance, didn't get this part because he hadn't seen SA.
