On the June 30th matinee Lexi Lawson as Eliza in Hamilton did not have her letter on stage while she was singing "Burn" so she had absolutely nothing to burn. Not sure who messed up, but it was pretty awkward. What is your favorite forgotten prop story?

In If/Then, Idina needs to make a phone call, so she reached into her pocket for her cell phone and... nothing. She asked LaChanze if she could borrow her phone, and she starts digging in her purse, most likely to stall, when a character that quickly dipped offstage to grab the phone and hand it to her. Idina and the audience laughed and said, "It's live theater, folks." or somesuch.

We were watching this British farce, "Nothing On" and there was this plate of sardines...
In the first night dress rehearsal of the Sweeney performance with Patti, George Hearn and the SF Symphony, during "Nothing's Gonna Harm You," Patti had a long, red scarf/muffler she was knitting for NPH as Toby. They were seated on a riser, and most of the long scarf was off her lap. as she put it down to sing, it slid off her lap and beneath them. She didn't notice and when she went to get it to put it around his neck it wasn't there. They pantomimed it just fine.

^I find that to be a grey area…wouldn't Mrs. Lovett have gotten up to get the scarf she dropped on the floor?

Yes, but they were on platforms. It had slid off their platform and was beneath them. I did see her briefly look for it (I had noticed the scarf sliding off earlier).
You can see the production on DVD and online. It was one of those Lonnie Price stagings filmed for PBS. They filmed the first night for cover shots and insurance but didn't use it. That was the performance I saw. Also Lisa Vroman's mic dropped down her decolletage early in the show and she had to briefly go upstage and turn around to fish it out.

Not forgotten, but bless the first preview of Anastasia where she is getting her life dancing during Once Upon a December and the music box flew out of her hands causing me audibly and loudly gasp.
