Anyone have any ideas of when this show will close? Based on the reviews, I'm hoping soon, so I can my money back.
Judge for yourself & see it.
Why wouldn't you want to form your own opinion on the show?
Some people follow critics like lemmings.
We see shows we are interested in seeing no matter what the critics say & we form our own opinions. If people want to let other people dictate what they see , that is their business.
I saw it. it's a bummer of a musical. If you paid $69.50, you may want to get your money back. Great cast/bad musical.
15 critics can't be wrong.
yeah, what the white guy said.
Depends on how much money they have to throw away.
Many of the critics had their mind up going in due to the subject matter. In additon, many compared it to Wildhorn so the musical was dead to them from that point forward. We are glad we saw it. If you did not like it, that is your opinion along with the 15 other critics.

It's on sale through the first week of January, but after its critical thumping it's unclear if it'll hang on that long (though it may, like Walmartopia, keep chugging along despite the pans).
I can't imagine it would close that quickly...
We at least I got my tickets for $27!
It could all ready have closed last night! Who knows?

lets be honest though. walmartopia is holding on because the producer is most likely throwing money at it..and really Frankenstein is a step up.
As long as I'm able to see it on the 30th. I'dve had these tix for too long not to be able to enjoy them. Hehe!
I just saw it today, and even though I saw those reviews, it was pretty good. Don't say "oh the critics say its horrible so let's not go" because half of the time the critics don't match your opinion of the show. It's worth it to watch Hunter Foster, and to watch Steve Blanchard practically shirtless for 2 hours.
Also, I noticed that the audience was pretty full (in the orchestra). It's a small theatre, but still pretty full.
I wonder how many people thought they were seeing Young Frankenstein.
Are they recording it?
there was an article and a comment from Christine Noll saying that if they got people who thought it was young frankenstein but bought tickets to their show then they could last a while... lol I know she said it tounge in cheek.

They should change the name of the show to Jung Frankenstein.
Earlier in this post i asked if it was to be recorded? Ive looked at my CD listings and have just discovered that it has been done, back in 2003. I remember not enjoying it on the only listening i gave it.
Shuler Hensley as the monster.
there are recording Frankenstein. I saw a "CD Mailing List" at the Merchandise booth. There were Christiane Noll and Steve Blanchard CDs there. This one guy was upset because there was no Frankenstein CD. The man working the booth said, "We opened 3 days ago".
"It's worth it to watch Hunter Foster, and to watch Steve Blanchard practically shirtless for 2 hours" ..
Now there's a reason to sit through a crappy musical .. to see an actor shirtless for 2 hours. Honestly, who cares ... you can see shirtless men in any number of shows, you don't need to suffer thru Frankenstink just for that.
If they are recording it i hope its better than the concept album i have!
Hunter Foster alone will make the new album (if recorded) many times better. His performance was golden.
I did enjoy Hunter and Steve's performances. They were very good. I mean, it's not the worst thing I've seen in my life but it definitely is not the best. It was worth 40 dollars because Hunter is my favorite actor of all time. :)
I'm curious to what the concept album is like...anyone wish to share?

Other than the book which seems to have the personal about it, there's nothing here worth your time or interest.
