Broadway celebs sing for World AIDS Orphan Day Benefit

This is going to be an awesome night ! what a cool line up.

the pictures got me really excited for this ! what a night ! I wish they could record it too.

i looked this up and there are some great rehearsal pics here on bwayworld.

check the link !

The Addams Family - Wednesday Braids?!

In Chicago, Grandma cut Wednesday's braid's off in the opening number: "Clandango".

It was a neat effect, and she had the bob haircut from then on.

Broadway Stars sing in Benefit May 10th in NYC

i'm totally going to this.....sounds like a great night.

You had me at McKechnie and Felicia Finley!

If you thought you were a Broadway fan, this guy will put you to SHAME!

for "Jordan Catalano"...

don't be so crude. A pole smoker? really? how old are you? what do you do for a living?

you are a stereotype all your own, and a moron.

as for the others...glad you liked the tour. long live intelligent comments.

jared.

re: Forbidden Broadway to close January 15

Tony Vincent....the Sunday/Sondheim/Bernadette spoof is still in it, and closes the show now.

you won't miss seeing it. it's in.

re: Forbidden Broadway to close January 15

The new spoofs of [title of show], in the heights, Sunday, and Young Frankenstein are my favorites !
Forbidden Broadway video: Behind the Mylar Curtain

With the Shrek picture of Brian D'arcy James coming out in USA Today, here's a video of green make up that doesn't take over 2 hours...in the current Forbidden Broadway: Dances with the Stars.

An off-Broadway version of going green....like Elphaba, The Grinch, Shrek, and Frankenstein...but this one takes under 5 minutes.

It's not that easy being green...

video by Bill Selby

re: Groff's wig for Hair

he wears two wigs in the show...a long one, and a military one.

he doesn't wear one for bows.

re: Broadway Trivia

They both took "Ethel Merman roles" in film versions of her musicals. Dubarry was a Lady and Panama Hattie?

Who did Hal Prince originally approach to write PARADE before Jason Robert Brown?

re: Spring Awakening at Forbidden Broadway

yes...rude awakening cd is out...they have tons at virgin records now...or borders, amazon.com
Spring Awakening at Forbidden Broadway

Did anyone see Spring Awakening at Forbidden Broadway tonight?
re: New Forbidden Broadway cd out today...

Virgin Megastore times square was sold out by mid afternoon. the two cds at borders columbus circle went fast, and there were 7 at the borders at 57th and Park Ave. they need to stock up at these stores

Borders was $17.99.

Amazon.com $12.99.

New Forbidden Broadway cd out today...

i'm heading to Virgin records in the morning to pick it up...let me know if you find it for less that $14.99. i think it will be on sale there, as usual. it's on amazon for 12.99, but i can't wait!

re: accident at wicked tonight

this is what happened.

her hand was hit in a traffic accident by a spear/staff from one of the guards.

it was badly injured and she was a total pro to finish the show. she was hurt and really crying audibly in sebastian's arms...leaving the show. she was in such pain, she did not take a bow. that's a first...well, a 2nd. maybe.

what a pro to finish. shows can be so dangerous...good that such an accident wasn't any worse.

re: Forbidden Broadway

Playbill announced the cd will be released Jan. 9th ! Unreleased bonus tracks too !
re: Frankenstein-When will it close?

I saw it. it's a bummer of a musical. If you paid $69.50, you may want to get your money back. Great cast/bad musical.

15 critics can't be wrong.

re: Anyone do the GREASE SRO?

i did...the first day...tuesday....i got there at 10:05...about 20 people in front of me in line buying tickets...i got the FINAL ticket.

this was the first day after reviews, so take that for what it's worth.

THEN i got two free house seats at curtain from a promoter.

can't beat that !

they are $31.50 though..to STAND...and the show is pretty lame.

re: Broadway Art Goes Digital- Encores! GYPSY

Norn, I can't tell you enough. You are amazing with a unique talent that amazes me.

As a performer, I was upset that I could never strive, dream or hope to be drawn by Hirschfeld since he is gone

I strive to be LUCKY enough to be interpreted by you.

Your art is the future of Broadway commentary/charicature, artistic interpretation.

Keep it up my man. Your work amazes me.

(I met you at the Off Broadway CD signing of Grey Gardens. You were so nice in

re: THE DROWSY CHAPERONE Tour Thread

I think Nancy Opel would be a GREAT Chaperone. She's brilliant, and if she can't do Grey Gardens...this is the role for her.

That's all I'm saying.
