Millennials and Gen Z have rediscovered the soundtrack to Tarzan. A popular no-context meme references how Phil Collins “didn’t have to go that hard, but he did. For us.” So a new production that really centers the show around the music and not the sometimes hokey stage work is probably a wise take on this one.

While we’re at it, can we retire “immersive” also? Since it has just come to mean “you’re in a performance space and the performers are also there” for most shows that descriptor is slapped on.
