Cupid Boy2, the Cleveland Playhouse production will also be directed by Christopher Ashley, which leads me to believe it will be the same production that will play Signature in DC.
Ana Gasteyer has played the mother in all the workshops, as far as I know, but she recently got a TV series that will make her unavailable to participate in the full production.
Looks like after it premieres in D.C. it will move to the La Jolla Playhouse from Jan. 28-March 5, 2017 before the Cleveland Playhouse run.

Thanks for the info, everyone! I hope Ana finds some time in her schedule to be a part of at least one of these productions. If a recording gets made for the purpose of further licensing, I'd love for her to be on it. Her tracks on the recently released A New Brain album are some of my favorite.
And with an additional production confirmed by Wicked Fanatic, looks like BWW jumped the gun by turning my post into "news" and by assuming Cleveland PlayHouse would be staging the second production.

I'd assume it will be designed to tour then and be fairly low tech given the different stage dementions and wing space, etc.
The original article stated the show would run through November 13, looks like it's been officially bumped forward to November 20: http://www.sigtheatre.org/events/2016-17/freaky-friday/

There's a workshop happening this week. Ana is the mom, Emma Hunton is the daughter and Jason Gotay is the boyfriend.
Heidi Blickenstaff will now being playing the mother and Emma Hunton the teenage daughter.

I wasn't looking forward to this at all(I have a season subscription to Signature) but the casting of Heidi Blickenstaff has changed that. I am actually kind of excited now, I am a huge fan of hers. Both her and Debra Monk in the same season, It's going to be great.

Everyone at my house is super excited by the Heidi Blickenstaff casting! We will definitely be seeing this premiere at Signature in the fall!

They couldn't get an actual teenager? Emma is 25, barely old enough to be Heidi's daughter plausibly.
That said, thrilled for Heidi.

Fair point but she very much still passes as a teenager.
I had the same thought at first, neon. But I went on to watch a number of clips of Emma, and I really do think she'll be able to pull off teenage petulance extremely well.

Sure. She played Natalie in Next to Normal. I was just hoping for a new face.
