Frozen Invited Dress

There is currently a long line outside of Frozen. Is the invited dress tonight?

Frozen Invited Dress

I just asked someone. It is an invited dress. Good for them being in such good shape to have an invited dress 5 days before the first preview.

They’ve had two.

Do these invited dress rehearsal also usually sell beverages and stuff, because I noticed many of audience members had frozen souvenir cups. It almost seemed like they treated these two audiences as a real paying audience.

Shows often have invited dress rehearsals before previews. It doesn't have much to do with the shape it's in. When else would you have an invited dress rehearsal than before previews?

And yes there are two. Yesterday and tonight. I would imagine they want the actors musicians tech etc get used to working with an audience before their first official preview, no?

The one five days ago was more than likely considered a tech rehearsal, which was the exact same thing, but they would have been more likely to stop in the case of anything that needed fixing as opposed to during the dress, where they would only stop the show if completely necessary.

I'm sure that they want the show to be as tight as possible, starting from the first preview, and extra dress rehearsals can certainly help with that. Since it's Disney (and FROZEN, for that matter), social media reaction will be significant, so, the fewer hiccups during previews, the better.
