During the opening sequences- I personally would love to see Tracy teasing out her bouffant.
I guess it all depends on how the movie opens.

Thank you Mateo for posting this. I FLove it! It captures what I love most about Hairspray and I think both mother and daughter look adorable. Marc is right you are a fantastic entity! But I have to disagree with him about those panties. They are wrong on so many levels.
Looks good to me. Love the costumes Tracy and her mother are wearing.
I really love those costumes aswell. I hope that the girls go somewhere after they get made over. It would be a shame to waste such great outfits on just that number/scene.
No matter what, it's still...

Wow, Mateo! Those pics together like that really bring home what a great job they are doing integrating the movie and the stage show. I especially like the way that Hairspray was the first big break for both teenagers.... Rikki Lake and Nikki Blonsky (Rikki and Nikki). There is something very cool about that. From what I have seen I'm really looking forward to this movie.
haha yeh, Its an interesting juxtaposition.
I love this pic, and I've always thought that John would do a bang-up job as Edna!
My only concern... and hopefully it's a small one... is how "plastic" his face looks with all that rubber on his cheeks. Kinda like Bette Midler in that "old age" makeup at the end of For The Boys. It looks a bit like a melting wax figure.
You can't really see it much in the scan here, but it shows better (or worse?) in the magazine photo.
I hope they didn't overdo his makeup... in going for a realistically pudgy, feminine look, they may have just tried too hard in that department. I haven't seen enough pictures to know for sure, but there's something "not right" about the skin on his face.
Just my premature 2 cents. But I've had the same reaction now a couple of times to seeing him as Edna.
