Fun Home Obsructed View

Hello! I know there is a thread about the Fun Home previews and the subject of obstructed view seats has been raised. Can anyone give any more details about these seats? According to the box office, the seats are obstructed by the sound board. I am new to the message board and am just looking for any additional information about how the obstruction effects the view of the stage. Thanks!

Here's an answer I found posted by someone on "the other board" (aka All That Chat):

I sat in "obstructed" seats twice to see Giant: once in S7, and once in S12. These seats are right next to the board operator. I thought S7 was fine, though I did have trouble with anything staged all the way stage right. S12 was much more obstructed, because of the computer monitor connected to the board, and I missed much more of the stage left side, probably close to a third of the stage was blocked by the monitor. Fun Home is staged fairly center, so I don't think you would necessarily miss a whole lot, but it is fair to label the seats as obstructed. If you're someone who is easily distracted, being able to see the lit monitor of the board operator can be an obstacle in enjoying the show.

Thank you, this is exactly what I was looking for. As luck would have it, my seat is S7, which seems to be the better of the two options.

Are they selling just two seats in Row S? Two of my friends bought obstructed view for a particular performance toward the end of the run. One got S7 and the other got S12. According to the seating chart, the sound board is over on the side, but I could swear that for this show it's in the middle!
