I am quite surprised Ghost did not take off. What impressed me were the visuals -- the projections, the magic tricks, the lighting -- all breathtaking and, I thought, category-changing.
I was never especially taken with the story, and didn't think the music stood out. The performers were all fine. But anybody who saw the Broadway in Bryant Park concert -- with Richard Fleeshman, Cassie Levy and Da'Vine Joy Randolph on a bare stage outdoors -- would have realized that there's more to Ghost than just the astonishing design.

"Ghost" to play final Broadway performance on Aug. 18th? THANK GOD!!!!! The show was awful. I hope that all other mediocre shows of the season follow, mainly "Evita" and "Nice Work". So nice that "Priscilla" is already gone, and soon "Sister Act" and "Memphis", all from previous seasons, will disappear. All terrible shows. Please, keep them vanishing!!!!

Just wanted to say that I saw this for the 4th time tonight and really was happy to see the show in good shape. Yes, the projections are awful, and yes, songs like More should have been cut, but everyone was giving such good performances that it didn't matter. Da'Vine was truly excellent and Cassie and Richard were in perfect voice. I hope that this cast all find quick work after this.

Also, selfishly I hope that the goregous Richard Fleeshman gets another broadway show.

I would support Fleeshman's decision to transition to adult films, perhaps, but I find his "acting" talents to be nonexistent and his voice just annoyingly loud and unfocused. I'll agree that he has a great body.

MazingerZ: Good luck with your puerile ranting about shuttering all the shows you don't personally enjoy. Perhaps you might next visit your favorite restaurant and demand that the entrees you don't eat be removed from the menu. Next time you drop in for a nice meal, you'll find ordering a cinch. Oh wait--except the restaurant will be gone.
