Does anyone really think there's a big enough audience for this, with a major revival just behind us? The transfer would cost big bucks, and like COMPANY, likely pull the die-hards in the first 3 months, then dwindle. The numbe of people lining up to spend 110 bucks a ticket for a show on the main stem a mere 2 years ago? I just cannot fathom the economics making this feasible. That said, I'm not missing it at City Center.

I missed In The Heights, unfortunately (it was always #2 on my list of things to see...there were just too many #1's.) I've heard very good things about it, but sending it to the Imperial is a kiss of death.
The Imperial only has 53 more seats than the Rodgers, so capacity wise it wouldn't make much of a difference. Space wise, IN THE HEIGHTS could absolutely expand to fit inside the Imperial. Either space could house this show successfully.
It seems odd to me why IN THE HEIGHTS would take the Imperial when BILLY ELLIOT has it in the fall of 2008.
Good point. Well the word at 37 Arts last night was that the Rodgers was first on their list.
