There's a ton of understudies on in Matilda today. From the ones that I know of:
Miss Trunchbull - Chris Hoch
John Arthur Greene - Mr. Wormwood
Marisa Kennedy - Mrs. Wormwood
Swings on in ensemble roles:
Clay Thomson, Nadine Isenegger, Scott Difford, Celia Mei Rubin

I don't mind having understudies. But I think if I saw ALL of those slips in the playbill I would be disappointed

Mr. Wormwood - John Arthur Greene
Mrs. Wormwood - Betsy Struxness
Michael Wormwood/Party Entertainer - Clay Thomson
Doctor - Thayne Jasperson
Sergei - Ben Thompson
Lesli was in yesterday. Ben was also on as Sergei yesterday.

Posted: 10/15/13 at 10:22amMaybe a lot of people are sick? I saw the show Saturday night and everyone was in(assuming Chris Hoch is the newest replacement) except Gabe Ebert. I was a little apprehensive but, honestly, his understudy did a wonderful job and having seen both, there's really little difference. Lesli Margherita definitely sounded a little bit hoarse so perhaps that's an indication of why she was out the next day. It's the time of year for sinus issues and sickness.
