at the 8pm show, Gaelen Gilliland will be on in the role usually played by Stephanie J. Block in 9-5 The Musical.

It did sound like Stephanie was loosing her voice when I saw the matinee on Sunday. Her speaking voice was especially raspy.

She was supposed to be tonight as Margaret. This is a last minute change. Either Karen Murphy won't be out tonight, or Tory Ross will take over as Margaret. Karen was being swung out so she isn't sick.
ps I haven't updated the site yet :)

According to Tory Ross, Karen will be in tonight (She was just going to be swung out). Tory will also be in her normal track.

It means that a swing goes on for someone, so that the actor being swung out can watch the show (usually to watch roles that they understudy).

Ugh, I really wish I saw this earlier. I would have loved to see her. I saw the show Sunday and didn't think Stephanie sounded any different then usual.

Well Judy is by far the most vocally challenging role. Allison barely has to sing, it's sort of a speaking song. And Megan has a mellow first act song and then a some what big song in act 2. But Steph has a huge 11 o'clock number.

Plus Stephanie is just prone to getting hurt. Nothing wrong with that...I know many people who get hurt/sick all the time.

Although I'm sure Gaelen is wonderful, I hope Stephanie gets better soon! I have tickets for Weds night and was really looking forward to seeing her performance.

Of the three females, yes. In the grand scheme of things, "vocally challenging" ain't a phrase I'd use to describe this score.

SJB is the kind of performer I would terrified to u/s for, esp in a role she's originating.

I'd relish being SJB's understudy in any show; a guarantee that you'd go on and be seen!

She has one scene that lasts like... 3 minutes.
