Well I agree with someone earlier who said in a different thread that they thought Ana's humor was more suited to the role of Glinda, and I completely agree. I can't imagine Gasteyer being taken seriously, or being a talented singer. But for those who HAVE seen her, I'll take your word. Best of luck to her.

Yeah, that's another problem I have. I see that she has a good voice...but I always picture her as the music teacher from Altadena Middle School along with Will Ferrell on SNL

Go Ana! She IS a great actress, so I'm pretty sure she can pull this off. Just because she can be hilarious doesn't mean she doesn't have a serious or dramatic side to her. And I'm sure she can wail out those big, belty Elphaba numbers with no problem.

I think people underestimate the kind of serious acting chops it can take to do comedy well. I saw Ana (with one "n") Gastayer (with a medial "a") in "Kimberly Akimbo" at MTC 2 years ago and thought she was great.

Since I wont ever make it to Chicago I'll be relying on all you BWW folks out there for feedback. I heart Ana Gasteyer I really do and I know she has an amazing voice but I think this might be out of her league. I hope she proves me wrong

Hmm... I think I'm going to be seeing the tour. They're coming through Chicago and then the extended stay is taking over(or am I delusional?)

Do we know who is going to be Morrible yet? I know someone who made the first set of callbacks for that part but not the second... and I'd like to know who actually got it. There was some pretty tough competition going out for it, from what I heard.

I would like to state TWO THINGS

1. CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG??????
2. I WAS RIGHT and the FIRST TO announce that Kris was FIYERO and that the tour was LEAVING THEIR SET and HARDLY ANYONE BELIEVED ME and I WAS RIGHT!! *does victory dance*

so all the other things I said that no one believes are true...will you all believe them now??
