I would probably go for the seats in Row C or L. Q does offer some great leg room though but it is a bit far back, as is those in the Mezz. Do you all have to sit together? If not look to see if there are any pairs in the center orchestra that are back to back.

I would pick row L probably. I was in row A when I saw it (lottery winner) and though it was amazing being that close, I think being further back (mid orchestra) would have been better so you could get the whole scope of the show while still being close. Row C would still be great but may be a bit close. Either way, enjoy the show! I loved it :)

I personally rather being very close for Wicked. It is my favorite show and have seen it 3 times. My favorite experience was when I sat 2nd row (CC) center Center orchestra which were purchased 5 months in advance. I love being very close for this show in particular because you feel wrapped up in the show as if you are there. I most recently saw it from row S on the aisle and it wasn't bad...just not row CC. Q isn't a bad choice it was up 2 rows exactly from where I sat. If I was you I would rather wait it out and try to get tickets for a performance months from now and if you could go directly to the box office to get them. Because some seats aren't released on ticketmaster. IT IS WORTH THE WAIT!!!!

We aren't going til late October, so it is months out! We are limited in when we can go, and must go on a Friday evening. Can you call the box office for tickets, or do you have to physically go?

I am not sure if the Box office handles phone sales and if they do, do the same ticketmaster fees apply. You can give them a call, (212) 586-6510. Or you can just buy them online and pick your own seats. I was looking at the seating for the last two Fridays in Oct and I see all the center orchestra seats are at premium prices. I would suggest getting two pairs back to back Rows E, F, G, H, seats 10 & 12 or Row, G&H, 9&11. (I'd go with E&F, 10&12) By the way, view wise, I prefer the even side over the odd side of theater.

I would go with the Row L seats or the seats in the Mezzanine. All of the others are to far back. Its basically a preference if you want to be in the orchestra or the Mezzanine. Either of these choices should be fine.

Mmmm I would go with Row C or the mezzanine seats, the rest are too far back.
I've seen the show 3 times and the closer I was to the stage the more I enjoyed it (closest I got was row B, center - loved it).
Either way you'll have an amazing time, it's a wonderful show, truly magical.

"I was in row A when I saw it (lottery winner)"
If you were in Row A you weren't a lottery winner. Lottery winner seats are in row BB(and 4 in Row CC). Row A is 5 rows from the front.
As for the question I would go with Row C. I LOVE seeing facial features and that row is perfect IMO.
I believe I was in Row B when I saw the show at the Gershwin. I don't think I missed anything being that close. The setup is pretty good for the up close seats.
I think it is all a matter of preference. Some people prefer to see the entire stage and scenes, while others prefer to see the facial expressions.
Personally, I like to seat close enough to see facial expressions and be a part of the show. I really believe most of the show is watching the performers act and seeing their facial expressions.
