Hello!
I'm looking at seeing Ghost in August. Where is a good place in the orchestra to sit? I'm wondering this because I feel like sitting super close would just be way too bright with all of the lights. I'm not looking to sit in the mezz because I hear that the leg room is pretty limited there, and I'm over 6' tall.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you very much!

I would definitely recommended the front section of the orchestra, row k at most. If anything the screens are more of a distraction further back. You can really get the full effect of the performances when you're close enough to appreciate their facial expressions.

Posted: 7/7/12 at 2:56pmAs for comments about the mezz, I don't think the sound guy has ever been up there to listen to how bad the mix is. The vocal balance in songs were off and most of the time I could not understand the words that were being sung.

Definitely don't sit in the way front. There is a scene in the 2nd act where the lights are BLINDING for the first couple rows. I won the lottery during previews and saw run behind the conductor and had to cover my eyes because it was too bright.
I just did TDF for this Thursday with my Mom and we got row Z, seats 1 and 3. I thought it would be too far back, but it actually turned out to be great. I would say anywhere after the first couple of rows are all good.

Posted: 7/8/12 at 12:53pmI've sat front row and row N in the orchestra, both are great seats. I'd say sit further back than D or so if you haven't seen it before, just cause there's some stuff that's hard to see due to the height of the stage if you're in the first few rows.

Posted: 7/8/12 at 5:19pmI sat front row both times I saw it since I won lotto(dead center and the last seat on the right way to the side). The stage is really high and you do miss a lot of the effects sitting there. As someone else said the lights are blinding at times. I would get at least row D or further back but I wouldn't sit under the mezz overhang.
