Girl auditioning for Wicked/Rent/Hairpsray on Laguna Beach on MTV

Is anyone watching this? A girl on MTV is auditioning for all three shows on MTV. It's funny because she seems huuuuuugely amteurish. Claiming it's going to be hard to "stay in character AND sing your heart out." Haha. I can't wait to see what they say to her!

Oh my god..I just watched that too and i felt really really really bad for that girl. It was pretty sad. On another note, are those what broadway auditions are really like???

Didn't it? It was really informal, and the woman critiques her. It seemed like she was given a favor to audition.

It's just because it was a tv show, they had more of an obligation to be nice to her. I think it was already being nice to her for *letting* her audition, or putting her on the show, even. It's one thing to be ambitious, but it's another thing to actually be good.

I dont really get the idea of Laguna Beach...is it a reality show or not? Cuz it doesnt look like the Real World or anything....is the girl really bad?

it is a reality show... its just about these high school kids lives... and yes, the girl was really bad. and the girl was allowed to audition as a favor.

That really is sad; it's one thing to be crushed behind closed doors and a totally different thing to be crushed on camera. On a show on MTV that's probably watched by hundreds of thousands of people.

On the bright side... maybe she'll become the next William Hung?

She didn't seem to realize how bad she was... so maybe she's not that embarassed and crushed... For her after that filmed audition, ignorance really would be bliss...

I must say, I have recently become addicted to Laguna Beach, such trash, and supposedly all-real, nonscripted "life". yeah. Almost as good as Desperate Housewives, better?

I saw it yesterday. She had a nice voice (at parts), but just wasnt that good lol. And her song choice was not good at all for any of the shows

for all of you who watch Laguna Beach..I SWEAR WE DON'T LIVE LIKE THAT! and all of us who are interested in theatre don't go around having mommy and the executives at MTV pulling strings to get us auditions.

omg i watched that and i got all excited then i heard her sing and i was like eek! i can't hear anything anymore.. lol.
