Back on topic-was able to rush on Saturday 2/16. Originally arrived at the theatre around 8:30am to check it out and would have been the first in line. A friend joined the line around 9:55am and was 15th in line. Was able to get a ticket for the matinee (Orch M 17). It was a great view of everything except the band in the back!

Talked to a very nice lady at the box office today. She said seats are not always partial view, it just depends on what they have left the morning of the show. She also said that rush hasn’t been super crazy, usually about 10 people, sometimes as low as 5, so she said as long as you’re at the box office by 10 am you should be able to get a ticket (probably want to get there earlier on weekends though). I will be rushing with one other person to get 4 tickets for a Wednesday matinee in mid-March and will report back then :)

Lottery for today’s matinee! Mezz row d 17 + 19.
19 was more obstructed than 17 but we didn’t miss much if anything. Probably missed the band in the back corner if that’s where they were the whole time (?)

When did you get to the BO in the morning?

I just won lottery for tomorrow's matinee .. I am hopeful for decent seats since there are a lot of seats available for sale as of right now.

When we went there were a ton of seats more towards the sides unsold too. Good luck! I’d love to know where your seats are.

Not technically rush-related, but it looks like, per the TKTs app, tonight's opening is on sale at the Lincoln Center and Seaport booths...

Meaning only K20 is partial view?

no -- neither 18 or 20 were partial view
most of the action is in the middle of the stage .. only instruments are on the sides and there was one moment when one characters starts seeing and I couldn't see his face from seat 16 -- until he walked closer to center stage. It was about 20 seconds.

Is there a rule, or convention, about how many seconds/minutes of speaking/singing actor a seat misses line-of-sight to before it is officially deemed a partial view ticket?

Adding in that my seat was J18. The seat next to me was empty. I think you could get there closer to 10 and be safe.
