TWO STRANGERS (CARRY A CAKE ACROSS NEW YORK) Previews Nov 12 2025, 11:34:27 PM
Sauja said: "I wanted to like this, but I struggled from the start to believe in either of these characters as actual flesh and blood people. The NY obsessed film geek who confuses NY with “Tinseltown” or the depressed yearner who lets herself become quickly charmed by him in spite of the deeply complicated circumstances. It felt twee and unrealistic but also not quite stylized enough for it to get a pass for being stylized. And listen, I am all for shows being two acts,

I won the lottery for tonight's show, and my seats are row c left mezzanine. View from your seat shows a good view from so I think it'll be fine.
I checked on reddit and it seems like a lot of people got an assortment of orchestra seats, so I was a little bummed about it. One person got the "very last row in the balcony last week" and still called

Tom Hanks to lead self-written play THIS WORLD OF TOMORROW at The Shed Nov 10 2025, 10:06:48 AM
i saw this yesterday and thought it was awful. Like, embarrassing.
Terrible writing. So hokey. Should be an hour shorter. So much technical speak that sounds like charlie brown's teachers talking. Word Salad.
Some stiff acting .. many line flubs and prop flubs. Over the top caricature presentation of a Greek diner owner and all the requisite jokes played over and over and over ad nauseum. If I could have, I would have groaned loudly every

I wonder what i missed with Uranowitz. This is the character that I would most relate to, and I didn't get anything from him. I found the whole show came to life when Josh Henry was on the stage and otherwise was muted. Maybe it's the night I saw, and they've settled in better since.

THE QUEEN OF VERSAILLES Previews Oct 13 2025, 12:44:49 PM
I saw the first preview via the lottery and i was surprised that no one in my vicinity -- at least the folks I talked to were also lottery winners. I think it was worth it for that price and certainly to have my own opinion of the show not shaped by message boards.

THE QUEEN OF VERSAILLES Previews Oct 9 2025, 10:59:02 AM
I was in a lottery ticket in the mezz left and the place was packed and buzzy. I was surprised at how young the crowd was.. the girl to my left was a teen and was overjoyed by everything she saw on stage. I gave her my poster and she asked me 3x 'are you sure?'. To my left was a couple who seemed to be there for KC and was disappointed overall but, I think, giving it a chance to improve. It seemed they didn't expect it to be great but were still surprised to see t

There is some very good singing and strong performances on that stage. Henry sings the hell out of the score, and I found Uranowitz, Ross, and Lewis very good. That being said, this production is completely listless. There is no energy or connection on that stage. I’ve never foundDeBessonet to

With the way prices are these days, I can no longer afford to see anywhere near as much as I used to. The ones who release good discounts first, are the ones I will be purchasing, and the ones taking the gamble are the ones I likely won't."

There was absolutely no preshow announcement about turning phones off and I’ve never seen ushers spend so much time running the aisles to flag patrons. If I’m being honest, if they didn’t want spoilers, THIS of ALL shows should be the one using Yondr pouches"

I saw this from the front row center (lottery win) yesterday afternoon.
As far as I could tell - the audience loved it ... laughed a lot. I teared up momentarily near the end but really enjoyed the music and durand's voice was beautiful. Well worth it for one of the lower priced lottery tic

If someone would have told me at the onset of thisseason that a Mamet play at the Palace would a) outsell a new Elton John musical in the same venue and b) fill the Palace stage better than saidbig splashy new musical, I would have laughed out loud, but here we are!"

FLOYD COLLINS Previews Apr 3 2025, 10:52:05 AM
I saw this last night and had a hard time keeping my eyes open. I was jealous of the couple sitting next to my friend and I who left at intermission. I think it may be the worse thing I've ever seen on Broadway .. mostly because I usually pick things I know I will like. I was not familiar with the story or the music ahead of time. I saw bluegrass mentioned in something I saw and my husband was a fan of that genre and played in jams and died in 2022 so it holds a pl

PURPOSE Previews Mar 12 2025, 12:54:54 PM
i saw this on March 7 so I wonder where they were in terms of edits .. the first half was very good and the crowd was with them .. despite too much narration. The second half - dragged. So many long monologues and cast was dropping words making it even harder to follow.
I got a pair from TDF and we were center row B in the mezzanine. Perfect view. Nice set.

Saw this yesterday and did not love it. The first 15 minutes, I was all in and laughing and then the next whatever felt like an eternity. I have 4 siblings and a lot of family complications, but this isn't what I wanted for the holidays.
