Has anyone rushed Girl from the North Country and have any information about where the seats are located? And what time people have been arriving? Thanks everyone!

I just rushed this morning. I arrived at 11:00am and they were
all sold out for both performances today. Ticket office mentioned
people have been queuing prior to opening but don’t
know how early they’re arriving. When I asked where are
the seats located, I was told it’s dependent on sell-through
so it could be pretty much anywhere in the theater.

Hi. Thank you for your keen observation. I live 6 miles away from the theatre district and have rushed as late at 7pm for an 8pm curtain.  You don’t get to decide the timeline for rushing. The theatre does and they have happily obliged.

Just so we are aware: there are usually a limited number of rush seats available for whatever show offers rush. If you are get a ticket at 10am or 7pm and get a rush ticket, it is called “rushing” a show. Stop being a little pickle and get over yourself.

Bringing it back to the point of this board, I didn’t rush today so I don’t know where the seats were but today Saturday 2/8, the first person got there at 8:30am. There was about 5 people in line when I asked at 9:30am.

I got to the theatre at 9:50 ish. There were 3 people before me. It's a Monday after all. An older couple came right after me, but it seemed they bought full price tickets instead. My seats are on the balcony, row D. I know I'm not entitled to orch seats, but still, it sucks a little.

How were the seats? Were they full view or partial view?

It was full view, if you're not sitting behind someone tall, or someone who's constantly leaning forward (smh). The angle was a little steep.

Any word about where the majority of these rush seats are and whether or not they're partial view?

I won the lottery and my seat was Row A in the balcony, all the way to the side. Definitely partial view, arguably horrible seats, even for $39 each. However, I loved the show. I'd love to see it with a more central view.

I won the lottery and had two seats 2nd row right side orchestra. I thought the show was well done and admired the cast. Reading a few negative comments on the show didn't ring true to me, so it turned out to be a moving evening spent at the Belasco theater. Remember it takes place during the Depression and people are beaten down, so it's not a feel good show because things aren't good in 1933.

My seat was right orchestra, fourth row, 3 seats in. Good seat and worth it. Anyone who is complaining about 40 dollar seats in NYC is laughable.

I don't know where you came up with your info or just made it up in your head, but buying tickets on the day-of a show is called rushing. Regardless if it's at 10am or 7pm it is still rushing.

That is completely inaccurate as most tickets bought on the day of the show are not even bought at the box office.  Simply because a show is struggling and is willing to sell additional seats at a low price way past the opening-line is definitely NOT "rushing a show".

You are obviously our in-house expert on rushing Chuckster, so maybe you can give guidance on "Is is rushing?" in these situations:

Are all people attending a Rush concert considered to be rushing?

If I get there at 7 a.m. but walk at a leisurely pace from the subway exit to the theater, am I still rushing? What if I stop to pick up a coffee at Starbucks on the way, still rushing?

If my first name or nickname is "Rush", am I still rushing regardless of what time I get there?

What about two friends visiting from Moscow? Are they Russian the show even if they arrive at 12:30 p.m.

Please let us know your thoughts on these situations.
