I saw it again this weekend and I have to highly recommend Die Mommie Die at New World Stages. It is such a fun show and Charles Busch is just amazing.
I know that the room was pretty papered but I would love for this show to do well, it is that good. Just a fun evening.

Posted: 11/5/07 at 4:16pmI paid full price, and I loved it. What a talent Mr Busch is! Every look, every gesture...so nuanced! I haven't laughed so much in years...I thought it highly preferrable over Young Frankenstein. It was an exciting night of theatre, and I can't wait to see it one more time. I have no connection to this production, but please...just go!

Posted: 11/5/07 at 4:18pmSome of the staff at the theater know whether a show is papered and how much of it is, but I always wonder about patrons who claim to know this info. I'd like to know how they come to this conclusion.

When I picked up my tickets (which were papered), I saw the list of comps which the box office person marked my name off. He had 2 very long lists of names.
Plus, Charles made the BCEFA speech at the end and made a joke about how much everyone paid for their ticket and how they could donate some to BECFA. It was quite funny.
Charles really is such a treat to watch.
