Good news...I did some research yesterday in the hour that I had available to kill before my show last night.
God of Carnage is not doing a student rush but they are doing Standing Room Only tickets starting about 2 hours prior to the show. I was not told how much they cost, but my guess is somewhere between 26.50 and 30 bucks. Don't know if it's cash only or if credit cards are accepted...

I walked by on Tuesday and Thursday asking about standing room only for Sold Out shows, and they said even if a performance is sold out days/weeks in advance, SRO is only sold 2 hours before showtime (incidentally, both of those days' performances still had SRO available when I was there around 6:45).
I just got Standing Room tickets for tonight's performance, and figured there might be more of a crowd because it was a weekend, so I got there at 5:20. I was 3rd in line, and by the time 6:00 rolled around there was a good 15 people behind me. I didn't wait to see if everyone was accommodated, but I think I overheard box office dude saying they had 20 tickets.

I had SRO seats for THREE DAYS OF RAIN at the Jacobs and had a perfect view...obviously an overhang from the mezzanine but that won't obstruct anything at GOD OF CARNAGE.
Plus it's just 90 minutes so standing for it isn't too annoying.

bump
I'm planning on doing SRO for the show tonight. What time should I get there and where should I stand while I wait (seeing as the box office will already be open and a] I don't want to be in anyone's way or cause confusion to the old folks and b] I don't want to be cut in line waiting for the tickets)?

I feel like, since it's a weekday/workday and pretty much everyone interested in this show is generally middle-aged/adults with jobs (everyone on line behind me was about 25-30 years older), if you got there at 5:50, you'd be fine, but if you want to play it safe, 5:15-5:30 should pose no problems for you at all.
They had us form a line against the way, on opposite far-away wall from the box office window.

Is it cash only? Or can I pay with a card?
(Sorry I'm a pain in the ass.)

Posted: 4/10/09 at 12:18pmI honestly don't know. I paid with cash, but I think I vaguely remember someone paying with a card.

I passed by last Sat about an hour before the matinee (but i already had tix for something else) just to double check the SRO and they still had some for that show.
But when i went to do it sunday, i got there a bit early (Around 11:25am) just in case, only to find a line already there (about 15 people). I was lucky to JUST make it under the cut, but it was close and basically sold out 3 people after me. (and there were more people after that waiting)
So seems kind of random.
