God, it is just so beautiful. *sniff*

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Here ya go!

ROBERT [speaking]: Stop!...What do you get? [Sings]
Someone to hold you too close,
Someone to hurt you too deep,
Someone to sit in your chair,
To ruin your sleep.

PAUL: That's true, but there's more to it than that.
SARAH: Is that all you think there is to it?
HARRY: You've got so many reasons for not being with someone, but
Robert,
you haven't got one good reason for being alone.
LARRY: Come on, you're on to something, Bobby. You're on to something.

ROBERT:
Someone to need you too much,
Someone to know you too well,
Someone to pull you up short
And put you through hell.

DAVID: You see what you look for, you know.
JOANNE: You're not a kid anymore, Robby. I don't think you'll ever
be a kid again, kiddo.
PETER: Hey, buddy, don't be afraid it won't be perfect. The only thing
to be afraid of really is that it won't be.
JENNY: Don't stop now. Keep going.

ROBERT:
Someone you have to let in,
Someone whose feelings you spare,
Someone who, like it or not,
Will want you to share
A little, a lot.

SUSAN: And what does all that mean?
LARRY: Robert, how do you know so much about it when you've never
been there?
HARRY: It's much better living it than looking at it, Robert.
PETER: Add 'em up, Bobby. Add 'em up.

ROBERT:
Someone to crowd you with love,
Someone to force you to care,
Someone to make you come through,
Who'll always be there,
As frightened as you
Of being alive,
Being alive,
Being alive,
Being alive.

AMY: Blow out the candles, Robert, and make a wish. *Want* something!
Want *something*!

ROBERT:
Somebody, hold me too close,
Somebody, hurt me too deep,
Somebody, sit in my chair
And ruin my sleep
And make me aware
Of being alive,
Being alive.

Somebody, need me too much,
Somebody, know me too well,
Somebody, pull me up short
And put me through hell
And give me support
For being alive,
Make me alive.

Make me confused,
Mock me with praise,
Let me be used,
Vary my days.
But alone is alone, not alive.

Somebody, crowd me with love,
Somebody, force me to care,
Somebody, make me come through,
I'll always be there,
As frightened as you,
To help us survive
Being alive,
Being alive,
Being alive!

"No one here to guide you,
Now you're on your own.
Only me beside you,
Still you're not alone.
No one is alone, truly.
No one is alone."

"Why do we follow leaders who never lead?
Why does it take catastrophe to start a revolution- if we're so deep? Tell me why, someone tell me why so many people bleed. Cages or wings, which do you prefer? Ask the birds. Fear or love baby, don't say the answer, action speak louder then words."

I'll never have the moon."

I want to add "He Wanted to Say" from Ragtime to this. It is just a song that everytime I hear it, it makes me tear up because I think that it's something everyone can identify with in themselves. Granted it wouldn't be this specific issue but how many times have people found themselves wanting to say everything they're feeling to someone else and show their passion and then they just...don't.

Emma:
He wanted to say, I am here because I have to be.
He wanted to say, I am here for what is right.
Every day I wake up knowing,
What you've lost and what is owing.
I would shed this skin if I could to stand with you and fight,
He wanted to say:

Younger Brother:
I am not who I appear to be.

Emma:
He wanted to say:

Younger Brother:
Do not blame me for my past.

Both:
We have different lives and faces
But our hearts have common places
This was deep inside me
And you helped me find it at last!

Emma:
Two men meeting for a moment in the darkness

Coalhouse:
One turning from...

Younger Brother:
One waking to...

All:
America!
Two men finding
For a moment in the darkness...

Coalhouse/Younger Brother:
They're the same

Emma:
They're the same!

Coalhouse's Men:
He wanted to say:

Coalhouse:
How I envy you your innocence

Emma and Coalhouse's Men:
He wanted to say:

Younger Brother:
By your side, I could be brave.
If there's such a thing as justice,
Let me help you find your justice.
This I do for you and for Sarah
Who lies in her grave!

Emma and Men:
But all he said was....

Younger Brother:
I know how to blow things up.

Emma and Men:
Two men meeting
For a moment
In the darkness
For a moment
In the darkness.

And hang on, when did you win the discus?

Song: Something Wonderful

This is a man who thinks with his heart,
His heart is not always wise.
This is a man who stumbles and falls,
But this is a man who tries.

This is a man you'll forgive and forgive,
And help protect, as long as you live...
He will not always say
What you would have him say,
But now and then he'll do
Something
Wonderful.

He has a thousand dreams
That won't come true,
You know that he believes in them
And that's enough for you.

You'll always go along,
Defend him where he's wrong
And tell him, when he's strong
He is
Wonderful
He'll always
Needs your love
And so he'll get your love.
A man who needs your love
Can be
Wonderful.

Everytime I listen to that part in Assassins where Kennedy dies and that music interlude starts playing and I remember that moment when Kennedy's assasination plays on NPH's white t-shirt...I lose it.

And everytime I listen to the entire soundtrack of Miss Saigon and the end comes...

I always tear up during "Unusual Way" and "No One Is Alone."

Another song that gets me is "Role of a Lifetime" from BARE.

What role do I play?
Am I a savior or a phase?
Am I here to damn you,
Or to help you navigate this maze?

It's so beautiful!

my vote goes to the entire song from THE CIVIL WAR..."The Regimental Drummer"

"Applause begets applause in the theatre, as laughter begets laughter and tears beget tears." CLAYTON HAMILTON, "Theory of the Theatre" "I think theater ought to be theatrical ... you know, shuffling the pack in different ways so that it's -- there's always some kind of ambush involved in the experience. You're being ambushed by an unexpected word, or by an elephant falling out of the cupboard, whatever it is." TOM STOPPARD
