I saw that, too. I wonder if I can renew at the student price as I am a graduate of one of the colleges. I clicked on the college but there was no way to enter anything into the grayed out box next to the name - can I assume that that is where you enter an ID number?

Seriously, guys? You'll lie about being a student to save $39 for a one-year membership to an organization that will get you into a zillion shows for four dollars and fifty cents??

The Gold Club folks are really nice, they deserve your honesty on this. Sorry, I really try never to criticize anyone on this board but this organization has been very good to me...

I would never lie to them about being a student, they've been great with their offerings and as you state, a wonderful organization that is very good to everyone. I often use the Theatermania site to buy tickets full price or with their discount so that they can get whatever benefit they would get for me buying through the site. I thought the offer would include alumni as my college does offer lots of discounts for alumni. I will gladly pay the $99 again when I'm up for renewal, and I'm even considering Play by Play and Audience Extras, if they happen to offer anything different from Goldclub.

The Gold Club folks are so nice, that if you can't make a show, they will put your ticket back up there and if someone else then takes it, they'll give you a $4.50 credit towards another play

I understand where you're coming from! Lying about being a student is incredibly despicable and I am not a scrub like that. Scrubs do not belong in the theater!

Anyway, so many shows offer general rush that I don't worry about not being able to afford Broadway. I've found that the huge rewards you can get through Audience Rewards as well will help bring ticket prices down to general or student rush level anyway! One full price ticket becomes access to five. Don't they need people to scrub the stage?
