Any word on this? I heard they were working on this in 1999. I am excited, I think they are rethinking it.

Put some age makeup on Linda Lavin and she'd make a great Sophia. Michelle Lee or Beth Leavel as Dorothy.

This is tough - The Original women were so perfect.

Just one example of how those ladies worked with music in the series. Not well. This doesn't need to happen.

anyone remember the short lived off-off Broadway show about the Golden Girls called Golden Girls: Live!. Four drag queens played the parts of each "golden girl".

Here's a playbill.com article about the show closing. It's a shame they weren't given the rights to continue the show, supposedly they were playing to packed houses every night.

Or when she had a stint as a lounge singer at a bar that Blanche was a regular at?
