Just a quick question. A friend and I are looking into going to see The Normal Heart. I am wondering how the $26.50 seats are. I looked and there are still some available, but how is the view? Are they too far away? Is it worth the extra $10 to get rush tickets and hopefully get seats that are closer? Thanks for any and all help! Golden Theatre seating...

It's a small house but the leg room up there is very tight, I was up there for driving miss daisy and went to stand in the mezz(with the ushers permission) because the legroom was so uncomfortable.
The rush seats are whatever they have, sometimes it's been side orchestra, sometimes front mezz sometimes rear mezz

I have noticed that even when rush have been rear mezz its usually the front of the rear mezz so probably better than the $26.50 seats
They also have $30 tickets on Thursdays for people under 30 I got a ticket for the 30th in the front row of the rear mezz

Hope I helped

Buy them sooner rather than later because those things are selling like hotcakes. Rush is not a guarantee. I and several of my friends have been unsuccessful lately, and I ended up forking over $116 last week to see it because it was my only option, only being in town for a couple of days. The view upstairs is fine; it's a little high up for my tastes, but it's a small theater. Better to be closer, but honestly, just be THERE, get your butt in a seat, I don't care if it's on the ceiling. And for that price, you can't beat it.

I agree with the above sentiment to buy now. Their tickets sales have tripled since the Tony awards....and they are not extending. (unless something changed very recently.)

Get the $26.50 rear mezz tickets. As Emcee said, rush was a crapshoot, and the $30 under 30 tickets are selling out a week in advance as well. I've sat there and the view and sound is fine.

I sat all the way in the rear mezz. for Avenue Q a couple of years ago. As others have said, it's a small theatre and the view was perfect. I'd grab them.
