OK, this has been discussed before, but help me think of those great, inspirational, LIVE LIFE! songs. Songs in the same spirit as "Open A New Window," "The Impossible Dream," and "Before The Parade Passes By." I'm making a Carpe Diem mix CD!

The theme is sort of woven throughout several songs in Rent (for example, "Another Day" and the Finale) - but anywhere that "No Day But Today" idea is brought in.

"For Now" from Avenue Q? lol...that one could either lift you or crash you down to earth.

"Try To Remember" from the Fantasticks?
"On a Clear Day, You Can See Forever"?

Mimi's part of 'Another Day' and 'Finale B' from RENT are basically the same, but just different wording. Definately seize the day songs.

"Tomorrow"---although that's not a favorite among the people here.
"Happiness" from You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown could be one---it talks about how the simple things in life make you happy and it makes people appreciate what you have.
