Several of my water aerobics instructors use Broadway tunes--one of them has an entire tape, sort of Broadway Disco. A few of the songs we all like and that have a good fast beat are "Oklahoma" (the song and overture); 76 Trombones; You Can't Stop the Beat; something from Mamma Mia, forgot what. And, of course, "One" from Chorus Line.

I do all my cardio to the Hairspray CD. I especially like Tracks 1 Good Morning Baltimore, 2 - (Can't remember title), 3 - Mama I'm a Big Girl Now, 15 - Hairspray, 16 - Cooties, 17 - You Can't Stop the Beat. My absolute favorite is You Can't Stop the Beat.

Have fun.

Well, MisterMatt, if you're not even going to try... re: Good Broadway songs for the gym

Rags has some great, upbeat songs! I would add Brand New World, Penny A Tune, Hard To Be A Prince, What’s Wrong With That, and Cherry Street Café.

Thanks for reminding me about Do Re Mi -- I love What's New at the Zoo.

The Australian version of JCS has so many devoted fans. I've always heard so much about it but never heard IT. OK, must break down and buy it.

Shakalaka Baby is a good one with a cardio workout in an aerobics class.
