Not many responses tonight on Marissa and her dancing. But can I just say two things? First...she looks great! And, I LOVED her dance tonight! Her energy and the moves and I thought they were great. I'm actually starting to like Tony, which is new for me.
But what's with the judges?! They kinda liked her dance last week and they gave her a 24. This week the crowd was going crazy and the judges were raving and they gave her a....24. Really? What's with that?

I chose, and my world was shaken- So what? The choice may have been mistaken,
The choosing was not...

This week Marissa is dancing the waltz, which she has admitted to having trouble with it. That cinches her spot in the Bottom 2 tomorrow night. If Marlee is also dancing the waltz, then she's going to breeze it since its a full-contact dance, which she excels at. Marlee has the sympathy votes for now, so she's still 'safe'. Cristian has no fan base, so regardless how well he scores, the lack of votes will eliminate him tomorrow, I mean... place him in the Bottom 2 tomorrow night.
As its always been, DANCING WITH THE STARS is fully carried by each 'star's' fan base, regardless of how well they dance or how well they score with the judges. This is how Marie Osmond never found herself in the Bottom 2 last season and how she simply breezed into the semi-finals. She could have just stood there and waved hello, and she still would not have been in the Bottom 2. Why? She has an enormous fan base (her dolls, the Osmond name, the Donny & Marie bit, etc.). This is also the same reason why Emmitt Smith won several years back over the more-than-qualified Mario Lopez. Its all about fan votes and not the judge's votes.
according to wikipedia, which is generally accurate with dwts, says that Cristian has the Foxtrot, Mario and Shannon get the Rumba, Jason has the Chachacha, Marlee with the Mambo, Marissa with the Waltz, and Kristi ' s got the jive
I think Cristian will be okay - while Marlee will fall flat, and Marissa is going to have trouble with her dance.
The other for should be okay - esp Shannon because Rumba is not high energy and she'll be able to breathe. hope that girl is working on her cardio though, cripes.
Loved Marissa's waltz! The group dance was pretty much a free for all, but it was still fun to see everyone dancing together. Remember to vote! I already used up all of my phone votes.
I used all of my email votes and I am using the last of my phone votes. If I had an AT&T phone, I would be texting, too!! I hope Marissa stays! Her and Marlee's averages are the lowest overall but Marissa was in, I believe, 3rd place this week!
Shannon and Derek are the first ones deifnitely going on to next week.
Marlee and Fabian are in the bottom two.

Is it just me or is Marissa looking slightly smaller than she did at the beginning at the show?
I remember a few seasons back Tia Carrere came on just after having a baby and at the beginning of the run she still had her baby weight. By the time she was eliminated she'd lost all of it.

I thought so too - Joey Fatone lost weight when he was on it. As did Marie Osmond last season - and Jennie Garth which is my favorite
Garth has previously stated her husband -- actor Peter Facinelli -- has been supportive during her Dancing with the Stars experience, and she's apparently repaid the favor with her newly toned body.
"He really likes it," she told Us. "He said, 'It's like I got a new car!' He can't keep his hands off me. To the point that it's like, 'Enough!'
Marie Osmond is doing commercials for, I think, Nutri-System and she looks amazing.
Is Dancing With the Stars the new Jenny Craig? *w*
