I really like "Once Upon a Dream" from Jekyll and Hyde. It's so soft and pretty!
Is Jekyll and Hyde really a flop? I thought that show did pretty well? Well, anyway. Lots of good songs come from that musical, I think.
Best of All Possible Worlds- Candide
thats what first comes to mind

The title song from SHOW ME WHERE THE GOOD TIMES ARE is a great old-style star-turn number from a show that never quite came together (a musicalized version of THE IMAGINARY INVALID.)

Any of the songs from DEAR WORLD. What a marvelous score that was! What a dreadful show that was!
I especially like
"The Spring of This Year"
"Kiss Him Now"
"Tomorrow Morning"
"I've Never Said 'I Love You'"
"I don't Want To Know"
I even like the title song, even though it's wrong for the show.
Total Eclipse of the Sun, from Tanz der Vampire which was NOT a flop in Europe.....
Lots Wife- CAROLINE, OR CHANGE
What a song. Just may be the greatest 11'O Clock number since Roses Turn. And Tonya's zinger of a vocal and emotional performance here made it all the more memorable and in all honesty, legendary.

Most of the stuff from LITTLE WOMEN(JUST from hearing the CD).
Most of the stuff from TABOO, Bway version NOT the London version!

"And Eve Was Weak," CARRIE the Musical
pretty much all the songs in the civil war...
"A Piece of the Pie" from the savagely beaten by critics and audiences, closed in shame, terrible idea for a musical...The Best Little Whorehouse Goes Public.
A beautiful melody that Dee Hoty sings. Carol Hall wrote it, i believe.
"Astonishing" - Little Women
"How I Am" - Little Women
everything from Taboo
"Say a Prayer" - Dance of the Vampires
"For Sarah" - Dance of the Vampires
"Astonishing" - Little Women
"Once Upon a Time" - Brooklyn--i imagine it's a good song when the performer actually sings it instead of screaming it like Eden Espinosa
...and i liked Good Vibrations, especially their renditions of "Be True to Your School", "In My Room", and "God Only Knows"
I have to say "Applause" from "Applause" -- it sticks in my head!

"Applause" was HUGE Tony-winning Best Musical hit. It's a lousy show, but it was FAR from a flop.

Everything from "Henry Sweet Henry", a 1968 Bob Merrill musical about schoolgirls which was panned because it was a charming, tuneful, old-fashioned musical in the age of "Hair" and "Jesus Christ Superstar" concept shows. It has some lovely melodies and two fantastic bitch-diva showstoppers from the "evil" schoolgirl.
THE LIFE wasn't a flop! It won 2 Tony Awards and got nominated for a bunch of others including Best Musical.
