Before you "rest your case" and imply that no one gives a flying **** about this topic, perhaps you'd like to refer to the forty something people who posted about this topic before I did. Or perhaps the 2,000+ people who have actually read this thread.
See, when you "rest a case", it means you have taken into consideration all proceeding factors, not just what you may offer or what you may agree with.
So, let me put it into small words so you understand...the fact that you are attempting, without any legitimacy, to imply no one is interested in this topic since they didn't happen to reply after I posted...that's a joke, right?

P.S It's understandable that if a performer is sick, then it can be difficult if not impossible for them to perform. But....if you know you have chronic bronchitis. Why, exactly, would you sign on to do a show that is so taxing on one's voice?

Sure, of course you should continue in your chosen profession and not be held back. BUT, you would also need to realize that not showing up DOES get noticed, as we see in this thread and many others. It was not so long ago that Nathan Lane was at the center of this very topic.
So, if you do choose to go on, all the best and good luck. But do realize that theatre audiences will take note. I even believe someone, who is a fan of Kristin's, posted they will not buy tickets to the show because there is a very good chance Kristin will not show up.

Theatre is great for getting noticed by Hollywood, no doubt. But, tell me, what is the use of getting to Hollywood when even your own fans don't have enough faith in you to spend their hard earned money to see you perform?
