haha.. BKLYN started previews September 23rd 2004,
opened in October 21st , and was recorded October 25th :)
But their road to Broadway was very long.

Yeah, Good Vibrations has had a hell of a time getting to Broadway. I was talking with Dave Reisers (omg. I'm going to marry him) about it, and it's just crazy. I'm so happy for them that they even made it this far.

And really? They're so not going to get a recording. Which sucks, because despite the lack of a good plot, these people are so amazingly talented and I'd LOVE to have a recording of them doing these songs. But it won't happen. Still! There's always hope!

A lot of shows which closed recently did not get a recording..
And it's very sad because every show deserves a CD.

Seriously. I mean, these people work their butts off to do these shows. They devote their lives for months at a time to them...the least they should get is a recording to preserve their hard work.

It's kind of sad that they don't all get one

The latest one was Dracula, then Bombay Dreams but I don't know if it counts because they have a london recording..

I didn't know Dracula didn't get a recording! I mean...okay. The show sucked. But eh. It would have been cool to have a recording.

And I don't think Bombay Dreams would count. If it did, then Mamma Mia needs a recording too seeing as the only one out is the London one. As long as there's ONE recording out there, I think that's good.

And it's kind of bad news for GV because they have the same
producers (Dodgers)..

Dodgers is sucking. Dracula (which was just bad), Bare (which is GREAT), and GV (which is pretty awesome). Rawr. They're annoying me.

Man, I don't want GV to be on the same list as Dracula with the 'no recording' thing. Even Suessical got a recording! >.<

And my name's Kelly-Caitlin. And I've only seen it once. I go to school in Texas, so it's tough to get out there and see these shows. I usually go out for a week in March and see all the new shows (DRS, LW, Spamelot, La Cage, GV) then sometimes in the winter and see whatever's new then too.

This thread is going on longer than people thought the show was to run. The miracle is that the show is still running. A bigger miracle, on par with Moses (or Charlton Heston ) parting the red sea, would be for a cast recording to be made. The longer the show stays open though odds go down from 1,000,000 to 1 to 999,999 to 1 etc.etc.
