Wife and I enjoy heading into the city and seeing as much as we can (Spamalot tommorrow night!). I try to post when I can, just to give my opinion (for what it's worth), and sometimes to encourage people to go see stuff that they otherwise might not go see. There's not too much I haven't liked (it's hard enough just to get a show on Broadway), but some plays are just better than others (just in my opinion - and wifes, she doesnt always agree with me). For people who can't see much, or live far away, maybe it helps if they can narrow down their choices. I'd like to see everything if I could, and I certainly won't criticize I show if I haven't seen it yet. And sometimes there are suprises - like "All Shook Up" (MUCH better than I expected, I was going to sell the tickets on Ebay since I originally bought them since Jarod Emick from BFO was supposed to be the lead - glad I didn't sell them though!). As for GV, I hope it lasts - it really is a fun show, and the relatively newbie cast (as opposed to ASU) tries hard and provide a lot of energy!
saw his first Broadway show yesterday- Good Vibrations. I have never seen someone so enthralled. It moved me to tears, seriously. You could not believe the look of wonder on his face. I enjoyed myself too, as did the rest of my family. They liked it 10 times better than Mamma Mia, to give you an idea. There was major cheering after songs, the audience didn't seem empty at all, and there was a standing ovation for the whole cast at the end. A thoroughly wonderful theater experience for a lot of people, obviously.
