I was just looking at ebay, at some vintage window cards... for example a couple listing for ones for Legs Diamond priced at $450US.
I realize that ebay isn't the best place to shop. Is there somewhere good on the city that might carry vintage cards? I wonder if there might be some bargains around with materials from the estates of elderly collectors? Or would these sorts if items just have gotten trashed by family members who wouldn't have realized their value?
I also collect vintage Barbie dolls, & the last couple years have been a real boon for collectors with so many rare items suddenly being released to the marketplace. I wonder if something similar has happened with Broadway collectibles?
To be clear, it is sad people died. I feel it honors their memories to give their treasures a new home.
