Such a fun, happy, feel-good show! I'm glad I got to see it as much as I did this summer.

Conor - Yep! That's where the picture was from. :)
My favorite understudy I saw was Trisha Jeffrey go on as Lorraine. She was fabulous!
I agree she was excellent. But my favorite undertudy was probably Jenny Lynn Suckling for Miss Sandra. She has pipes!
omg!! i have always wanted to see jenny lynn!!! i didn't know she ever even went on! she was also leah's understudy in dance of the vampires. she always stuck out to me in DOTV and ASU. she's such an amazing dancer and has such great stage presence, my eyes always seemed to wander over to her in the ensemble numbers of both shows.
i'd love to see her play miss sandra. i do love leah though. but i'd love to see jenny lynn!!
Suckling is amazing and she really does stand out, maybe cause she's so tall lol. I love the dance number in teh bar before That's All Right, where she and Justin Patterson are kissing but her leg is like way up there! rather incredible. She went on as miss sandra for like a week i think in early august and I thought she was great. Her singing was incredible and she played a different, maybe slightly less medicated Miss Sandra and I found her most enjoyable, I believe I saw her do it 3 times, and while I think Hocking is incredible, I would be equally happy to see either of them do the role. She is by far the strongest understudy this show has in my opinion.
wow. i wish i could see her. sadly, i don't think i'll ever get the chance. i think it's so interesting how she's sorta moving around with leah hocking. she's been her understudy twice. i know that kelli ohara's dracula understudy is also her light in the piazza one. does this happen a lot? or just by chance?
(sorry for the partial thread jack...i still love you all shook up)
yeah that is very interesting, I wonder how often this is done. Maybe they are just friends who alerted eachother about auditions and happened to both get cast and just because they are so similar ended up in the lead role understudy position again?
Another great day to see ASU! Go to Times Square and buy tickets!!
Good morning, everyone! There are two shows of ASU today - see one, or BOTH!
All this talking about ASU makes me want to see the show even more today! I wish I didn't have to work!!
seeing ASU twice in one day is the perfect thing to do. I've done it.
